Initiative and Referendum Study

Plentiful information on the Initiative and Referendum Study may be found by performing the following steps. Go to to lwvc.org or ca.lwv.org. On the right, near the bottom of the page, click on "Initiative and Referendum". On the first page that appears, click on the red "Studies on Initiative and Referendum", and then on "Read more". You will find many links to information on this study.

Ventura County Board of Supervisors

Ventura County is governed by a board of five supervisors each representing and elected by one of five districts. All supervisors serve four-year terms with three expiring in presidential election years and two in the interim even-numbered years.

In 2008, voters approved term limits of 3 consecutive 4 year terms, effective in 2009. County offices are located in the Administration Building, Ventura County Government Center. The Board meets Tuesdays 8:30 am, Administration Building, Board Room, except any 5th Tuesday that occurs. The meeting agenda is posted on the website Friday for meetings on the following Tuesday.
